Research Summary:
Regional Innovation Ecosystems: A Case Study of Community-Based Flood Risk Management in Rwanda’s Volcano Region
My research explores the functioning of Regional Innovation Ecosystems (RIEs) in the context of sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on how Rwanda’s volcano communities are addressing flood risks and soil erosion through innovative, community-led initiatives. By examining grassroots innovation ecosystems, this study aims to contribute to a broader understanding of how RIEs function in low-income regions facing climate-related challenges.
